Friends Cafe Pop-Up

The ‘90s child’s Mecca. Wait in line for coffee at Central Perk and stop for photo ops by Monica’s apartment door, the orange couch, and my personal favorite, the fountain, complete with the primary-colored umbrellas. Pick up turkey-wearring-sunglasses earrings on your way out and try to get “ ‘cuz you’re there for me toooooooooo” out of your head for the next three days.

Lucid Dream Art Exhibit

An immersive exhibit in the heart of Old Jaffa. Set in the dark, each artist rendered their interpretation of “Lucid Dream” in the cave-like rooms of the exhibit. Encounter psychedelic forests, animatronic creatures, oversized rope swings, and tricks of lighting that make this a reality-bending experience.

Work OFF Art

Located in an old factory, 43 artists designed exhibits in 23 office spaces all in service to the question, “What is Work/Life Balance”? Expect dazzling immersive creations and sobering interpretations around themes of disconnection, self-worth through work, and the impossible challenges of being a working parent. My favorite exhibit “The Deep Freeze” featured various representations of things we put “on hold” in service to work including: quality time with kids, dating, meeting your future wife or husband, going to yoga classes, seeing the doctor, going to formal social events, and more all encased in plastic and locked in the doors of a deep freeze. Be sure to check out the painted cars in the backyard and pick up an art-themed tote from the vending machine to commemorate your time at the immersive exhibit. Side note: I am 500% more likely to buy something unique if it comes out of a vending machine.
