Shefayim Water Park

Island vibes. Sprawling estate. Brightly painted food trucks. All this and more make this the best water park I’ve visited in the world. The entire park is spread out over 5 areas from a splash pad to straight drop slides. Beckett loves the pirate ship area as well as the wave pool which operates at the top of every hour. Get there right when it opens, pack a picnic, and let the perfect water day unfold.

Gordon Saltwater Pool

Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, three saltwater pools comprise this facility: one for laps, one for recreation, and one for kids. I came here when I was pregnant with Ella to stretch and soak my joints in the soothing saltwater and it proved to be the most peaceful morning. Entrance comes with free access to a locker room and a wristband to re-enter throughout the day.

TLV Beach Club

A gorgeous 16-minute walk from the Embassy, eating flower-adorned sushi rolls and sipping Coke Zero with fresh lemon and mint on a Thursday afternoon will make you feel like a princess or at least like the idle rich French expats who frequent there. Stop by the bar for an ice cream or sit in the giant shaded beach swing before heading back to EBO.

Gan HaShlosha

A sparkling turquoise lagoon sprawled across four pools connected by a natural waterfall, you’ll feel like you’re vacationing in tropical Bali rather than out for a day trip in the arid Middle East. Come to swim in the deep clear water, sit under the thundering waterfall, sunbathe on the rocks, and picnic on the grassy knoll. Grab a floatie from the shop next door and spend the day floating in this magical oasis.
